Rio Bravo Fine Art’s exhibition is a show by a group of Puerto Rican artists - Eduardo Alicea, Edwin Gaud, Moises Mercado, Susana Pérez Rodríguez, Marirosa Bonet, Elizabeth Cruz García and Kany Segarra Toro - who all studied at InterAmerican University of San German, Puerto Rico in the 1980’s. The show is centered around the Three Kings, who are an integral part of the Nativity of Christendom. During the Christmas season, the Three Kings play an important role in Latin American cultural traditions. This show provides a look at a story originating in the Middle East, transplanted to the Caribbean, and how it has been transformed by a prominent Hispanic culture.
The show, though small, is a wonderful tribute to artists who represent one of the most dynamic cultures in the Caribbean. The show runs through December 29, 2024.
