Eduardo Texidor solo exhibition at Janssen Artspace, Palm Springs, Ca

Gallery owner and director, Steven Janssen of JANSSEN ARTSPACE is proud to welcome Puerto Rican painter, Eduardo Texidor and his solo exhibition, The Departure: And What You Are Leaving Behind to the desert this fall. This is the new work of Eduardo Texidor, San Juan, Puerto Rico, 1975. He resorts to the theme of nostalgia. "There are trips that are made for pleasure, there are others that are like the wind that pushes you. Those winds can take you to destinations you may not know. The images in these paintings are the projection of images in my head after my departure from Puerto Rico. The beauty of the people, the lovers that I have met on the way, their stories and farewells," says Eduardo.

After Hurricane Maria passed through the island, he was left with nothing. It was then he had to start from scratch. After three months of wandering through several cities in the western United States he decided to establish himself in Palm Springs. Eduardo was attracted by the climate and especially the dramatic colors of the desert.
