Open call for special projects "Mecanismos" to MECA International Art Fair of San Juan

Open call for all independent galleries, alternative or artist-run spaces, curators and special projects:

MECANISMOS® | 2017 Applications
Starts this Friday, January 20, 2017

MECANISMOS is a platform where new and alternative galleries, exhibition spaces, plus venues for the sale and exposure of contemporary art, may present emerging, as well as up-and-coming artists.

Proposals should be based on a curatorial concept within the context of an art fair.

The applications will be reviewed by Carla Acevedo-Yates(Independent Curator and Assistant Curator at Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU).

Please be prepared to provide:

• A brief history of the gallery | project | space

• Exhibition statement

• Artist list

• 5-10 high resolution images with captions

Each application will be reviewed by the MECA Art Fair Selection Committee. The number of participating galleries or projects is limited (10). Insufficiently documented applications will not be considered for review.

Application fee: $25.00 (not refundable).
